Self-sufficiency through paradigm change

The term Paradigm Shift was first introduced by Thomas Kuhn in his book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. Today, the word paradigm is used to represent patterns of thought or perception that affects our attitude and behavior. Paradigm Shift in this sense means changing the thinking of our ideas and perceptions.

The map is not the area – Map simply explains how the real territory is the same. It lists information such as buildings and roads, but the map is not a real territory, it's just a representative.

Each of us would agree that the image above understands. Some might even add that it's common sense. Now, if we stop thinking about it, many of us are actually making a mistake of treating our map as a territory. Allow me to draw some parallels here.

The territory here returns to the real world out there, the world that continues without our control. The map refers to our perception of the world. Each person uses different maps depending on culture, society, parenting, language, experience, etc. In a nutshell, we perceive the world after our maps, our reality. How I perceive certain circumstances may not be the same as you and vice versa. But how often have we assessed our reality as the only reality?

For the world to change, I have to change first – This statement puts you in a broader mind by acknowledging that you are in control of your thoughts. As soon as you change your perception, the world around you changes too.

In Stephen R. Covey's 7 habits of highly successful companies, he wrote about his experience on the train. A man and his children went on the train, and while his children were yelling and throwing things around he just suggested doing nothing. It was clear that everyone in the train was annoyed, and when he could not take it back, Covey turned to the man asking if he could control his children. The man apologized and explained that he was emotional because the children & # 39; A mother died in a hospital just an hour ago.

Imagine how his perception had changed immediately and how this change would have led him from a sense of irritation in one sympathy. Bringing this story is just reinvesting the notion that what we see and think can not be what it really is.

We choose what we want to perceive as our reality. Being aware of this enables us to continually put ourselves in a harsh state of mind and make better decisions.
